Doppeldog Lager

ABV: 8.7%

A Dobbelbock is German for "double bock". It is a strong malty beer and has a reddish-brown color. The beer originated when monks in Germany stopped eating solid food for lent. It used to be 3-4% ABV and very sweet to give the monks substance to make it 40 days without food. We use it now as a malty, strong, European lager to make it through the winter months.
